IBM’s edaBarCamp — “Number 5 is alive” took place on 18-19 Feb 2020, in Böblingen, Germany, where people presented and discussed ideas and results of the ongoing scientific work. The organizers invited researchers from the areas of electronic design automation (EDA), microelectronics and (embedded) systems design to their open barCamp event.

Partners from E4 and CINECA attended UNIBO’s undergraduate and graduate courses and gave a talk to the students.
The roadmap and overview of the EPI processor have been presented to students of the class “Hardware/Software Design Methodologies” of the Electrical Engineering MSc at the University of Bologna, Italy, taught by Prof. Luca Benini.
The presentation informed the students of the opportunity to be involved in MSc thesis focused on EPI.
EPI’s CCO, Mario Kovač, presented the latest in EPI at the ESA Earth observation workshop in Zagreb.
EPI’s partners, Kalray and Provenrun, participated in the Embedded world exhibition in Nürnberg, Germany, with their booths, presenting the latest EPI news and materials. Kalray’s CTO, Benoit Dupont de Dinechin, also held a presentation.

Jean-Marc Denis attended the SOS23 Workshop in Asheville, NC, USA.
EPI team members participated in several sessions at the HiPEAC conference in Bologna, Italy, held from January 20-22, 2020.
In addition to having a booth as a HiPEAC sponsor, EPI was presented at the industrial session, in two other workshops (WRC and Eurolab4HPC session) and in EPI’s own tutorial session, where EPI presenters gave talks on Accelerators, Compiler and Software Development, EPI’s Power Aspect and PCIe Daughter.
